Dartington Plus, in conjunction with Culture South West and Arts Council England has established a permanent music industry forum for the region, which forms an integral part of the Creative Industries Sector Development initiative led by Culture South West and the South West Regional Development Agency. The aims of the forum are:
- To create a proactive voice for the music industry in the region
- To prove the economic value of the sector to regional agencies, particularly SWRDA, with the aim of securing project funding in the future
- To strengthen communication and develop partnerships in the sector
- To link the region with national and international initiatives
The Forum meets quarterly and supports a network of sub regional music industry and regional professional groups who deliver events and activity within their geographical area.
