Our enterprise activities aim to inform, advocate and grow the music economy in the South West of England; across all aspects of professional practice. We aim to enable creative practitioners and music companies to not only develop their practice but also their business and future careers.

South West Sound

Evelyn Glennie performs during South West Sound An annual music convention, targeting a range of music workers and young people, with an overarching theme.

Each day has relevance to all genres of music and includes symposium, workshop, networking, performance and fringe elements.

Past speakers and performers have included Steve Lamacq, Evelyn Glennie, Marc Marot, Stephanie Hughes, Michael Eavis, Jazz Summers, The Waterboys, Polar Bear, Seth Lakeman, Gavin Bryars and 6PAC.

Dartington Recordings

A recording company created to showcase musical forms and practitioners flourishing in the South West.

The label promotes an eclectic mix of excellent talent, to the regional, national and international music industry by releasing promotional compilation CDs, which publicise existing works, furthering careers of individuals, groups and ensembles. Between 2004 and 2006 Dartington Recordings have manufactured 42,000 CDs over 5 compilations, featuring over 60 different South West acts.
